Abstract

Community Empowerment is an effort or process to remind development that makes people aware of their capacity so as to make them economically independent. One of the programs provided by the government to empower its community is the Family Hope Program (PKH). The problem of this research is based on how the level of effectiveness of community empowerment through the Family Hope Program (PKH) in Morokrembangan Village, Krembangan District, Surabaya. The purpose of this study is to see the effectiveness of community empowerment through the Family Hope Program (PKH) in Morokrembangan Village, Krembangan District, Surabaya City. The theoretical concept in research on the effectiveness indicators of the Family Hope Program (PKH) is according to Muliana. Research methodology uses a type of descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data sources are obtained using primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques through conservation, interviews and documentation. While data analysis techniques through data reduction, data display and data conclusions. Presentation of data used in narrative form The results of research and discussion obtained regarding the effectiveness of community empowerment through the Family Hope Program (PKH) in Morokrembangan Village, Krembangan District, Surabaya City are to see the effectiveness of the ongoing program. There are 4 (four) indicators to measure the effectiveness of the Family Hope Program (PKH) such as; (1) Target Accuracy, (2) Accuracy of Aid Amount, (3), Punctuality, and (4) Impact of the Program. From some of these indicators, it can be said to be quite effective, but there are still indicators of target accuracy that are still said to be ineffective because the assistance provided to elderly PKH is still not in accordance with the category provided by the government and there are still obstacles in the lack of information to the community and the central government about updating data on Family Hope Program (PKH) recipient participants.
