Abstract

Pulau Samosir merupakan pulau yang terletak ditengah-tengah Danau Toba dimana Danau Toba saat ini masuk dalam Kawasan Strategis Pariwisata Nasional (KSPN) Super Prioritas. Kabupaten Samosir memiliki potensi objek wisata yang cukup banyak, dengan potensi pariwisata yang tersebut, maka sektor pariwisata di Kabupaten Samosir secara signifikan dapat mempengaruhi ekonomi. Permasalahan yang saat ini terjadi adalah lemahnya aksesbilitas untuk mencapai pulau Samosir/pusat-pusat kegiatan pariwisata, sehingga diperlukan tambahan moda transportasi baru yaitu pesawat amfibi dengan bandar udara perairan agar dapat menambah daya tarik bagi wisatawan, meningkatkan daya saing antar wilayah di bidang Pembangunan, mendorong percepatan pertumbuhan investasi. Perancangan bertujuan memberikan acuan bagaimana desain Bandar Udara yang ramah lingkungan, dapat merespon iklim dengan baik sehingga menjadi bandara yang nyaman untuk pengunjung. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan cara studi literatur dan studi banding. Hasil dari perancangan ini adalah beberapa unsur-unsur desain yang berprinsip arsitektur ekologis dan ditunjukan dengan beberapa gambar perancangan.
