Abstract

UD Dua Saudara is an industry that operates in the food industry, namely krecek crackers, the krecek cracker industry belongs to Mr. Lukman which is located in Bodor Village, Pace District, Nganjuk Regency. The production process in making krecek crackers at UD Dua Saudara experienced problems, especially during the process of cutting krecek crackers. This was the main obstacle in the production process of krecek crackers. To carry out a fast and efficient cutting process, there are several obstacles such as tools and work techniques that are still traditional, less efficient and ergonomic, so that the cutting process can take longer and the results are less than optimal. There is also an average of 136 kg of cutting results per day using 2 tools. To be more efficient, a tool redesign is needed that is able to overcome this problem. After testing the cracker cracker cutting equipment, it can produce 110 kg of cracker cracker per operator or 220 kg for 2 operators which can meet the target required by UD Dua Saudara in a day with an increase in income obtained by increasing production by 84 kg, with a profit per kilogram of Rp. . 5,000 with an increase in income calculated as (Rp. 5,000 × 84 kg) × 26 days which results in a total increase in income of Rp. 10,920,000 per month. Based on Payback Period calculations, the total investment is IDR. 5,800,000 spent on making Krecek Crackers Cutting Tools will be returned in less than 1 month. This shows that this investment is very efficient and quickly returns profits, making it a profitable and low-risk investment option with a quick return on capital and a significant increase in income in a short time.
