Abstract

Kesenian lokal mencakup berbagai bentuk seni yang berkembang dari suatu daerah atau budaya tertentu. Salatiga, kota di Jawa Tengah, Indonesia, memiliki warisan budaya yang kaya dengan pengaruh budaya Jawa. Salah satu kesenian lokalnya adalah Cin Mleng, yang memiliki sejarah panjang sejak zaman kolonial Belanda. Cin Mleng menggunakan alat musik tradisional seperti gendang, gong, dan saron. Di Salatiga, kegiatan ekstrakurikuler di sekolah dan universitas berperan penting dalam melestarikan kesenian lokal seperti Cin Mleng. Meskipun kesenian ini semakin terancam punah, upaya pengenalan melalui sarana pertunjukan kecil, penyajian sejarah, dan pembelajaran di lembaga lokal diharapkan dapat mempertahankan dan mengembangkan apresiasi terhadap kesenian ini.
