Abstract

This research aims to determine the specifications or details of the crime of money laundering as well as the strength of the State Administrator's Wealth Report (LHKPN) as evidence in an effort to make the crime of money laundering an illegal act. This research uses normative legal research methods that utilize primary, secondary and tertiary. legal literature as well as statutory, conceptual and case approaches. This research will discuss the specifications of evidence including the specifications of evidence based on statutory provisions, evidence practices by law enforcement officials, obstacles in proving money laundering crimes, and the strength of LHKPN evidence in money laundering crimes through concrete cases that use LHKPN as evidence. in the process of proving the case by analyzing the evidentiary strength of the LHKPN as evidence in the case prosecution process as well as efforts to use the LHKPN as reverse evidence in the trial process. The judge's authority in this opinion concerns the quality of the evidence. The judge evaluates and decides whether a piece of evidence is appropriate when compared with other pieces of evidence. This also applies to LHKPN as evidence, with the unclear formulation in explicitly defining LHKPN as evidence in the Law on the Prevention and Eradication of Money Laundering, which has given rise to doubt and debate among judges in court regarding the validity of LHKPN as evidence.
