Abstract
This research aims to examine in depth the inheritance rights of children resulting from artificial insemination in the legal context in Indonesia. Artificial insemination as a method of assisted reproduction has gained acceptance in society, but there is still ambiguity in the legal aspect, especially regarding the rights of children resulting from artificial insemination, including inheritance rights. The research method used is normative research with a statutory and conceptual approach, which is carried out by analyzing primary and secondary legal materials related to the problem under study and utilizing literature studies and applicable regulations. Research findings show that children resulting from artificial insemination have inheritance rights based on the Marriage Law and the Civil Law. However, there is ambiguity, especially regarding the legal status of children resulting from artificial insemination. This research suggests improvements in regulations to overcome this ambiguity and provide legal certainty for the inheritance rights of children resulting from artificial insemination. It is hoped that this research can contribute to the development of law in Indonesia, especially in providing clearer and more comprehensive legal protection for children resulting from artificial insemination and their families.
