Abstract

Granting campus accreditation is a process of assessing and recognizing the quality and standards of education provided by a university or higher education institution. This accreditation process is carried out by an accreditation body which is usually an independent authority or institution that has the authority to assess and recognize the quality of education in a country or region. The purpose of campus accreditation is to ensure that universities or higher education institutions meet certain standards and criteria that have been set by the accreditation body. This standard covers various aspects, such as curriculum, teaching staff, facilities, research, student support, governance, and others. Accreditation aims to maintain and improve the quality of education, provide confidence to the public that the university provides quality education, and provide information for prospective students in choosing the right educational institution. However, there are several standards that are often felt to be overlooked when granting campus credit, namely assessing the availability of facilities for people with disabilities. Reviewing campus accreditation in terms of the availability of facilities for students with disabilities is one of the processes that should be taken into consideration for universities to obtain accreditation, which examines the extent to which a university provides and fulfills the needs and rights of people with disabilities in accessing education and facilities on campus. fairly.Persons with disabilities include various groups such as the blind, the deaf, those with physical disabilities, developmental disabilities, and others. In the context of campus accreditation, the aspect of the availability of facilities as a means of supporting students in carrying out a series of teaching and learning activities must be one of the assessment selection categories that the government must pay attention to when providing accreditation assessment parameters on campuses for the value of inclusiveness and campus accessibility for all its students. The right to special educational accommodations for students with disabilities is established by law. The second paragraph of Article 28H provides a guarantee for that. The 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia states that "Everyone has the right to obtain comfort and treatment".
