Abstract

Energy needs in Indonesia are increasing along with population growth and economic activity. New Renewable Energy (EBT) is the answer to the problem of energy security in Indonesia. One example of the use of EBT is a Hybrid Generator. Hybrid generators are a combination of several types of generators, namely solar power plants and wind power plants, which combine the advantages of two or more types of generating systems that work in an integrated manner into a compact system. When the heat is hot and the wind speed is low, the solar panels are tasked with supplying electrical energy and then the electrical energy is directly distributed to MPPT (maximum power point tracking), where MPPT is a method used to optimize the output power of various power plants. Then it is distributed to the battery for storage, and vice versa. The aim of writing this research is to design a hybrid solar and wind power generator for street lighting and utilize both natural energy sources which can produce efficient electrical energy. In a hybrid generating system supplied from two generating sources using 100 WP solar panels and an AC generator. This hybrid generator is designed for street lighting. Using a battery with a size of 45Ah/12V can accept input when the voltage reaches 12V.
