Abstract
This research aims to determine the relationship between academic stress and psychological well-being in students. This research analysis uses the independent variable psychological well being with the dependent variable academic stress. This research is a type of quantitative correlation research. The sampling technique in this research used purposive sampling with a sample of 168 students. The subjects in this research were students who experienced academic stress. This research has two instruments, namely the psychological well being scale and the academic stress scale. The data analysis technique uses product moment correlation test analysis with the help of SPSS version 2.0 for Windows. The correlation coefficient result is 0.693, which indicates that the correlation coefficient level of this research has a negative relationship, with a significance level of0.000 (p =<0.05). This means that the higher the academic stress an individual has, the lower it will be experienced by the individual. On the other hand, if the individual's psychological well-being is lower, the stronger the level ofacademic stress experienced by students.
