Abstract

In the development of the Indonesian economy, one of the most important parts is the small and medium industry (IKM) because it is not affected by the monetary sector, and absorbs a lot of labor. The tempeh industry is one of the small and medium industries, where the industry experiences problems of instability in soybean raw material prices and weather-dependent production processes. With the research on the feasibility study of tempeh business, it is expected to provide information on how far entrepreneurs are able to cover all obligations with all their prospects in the future. The purpose of this study is to analyze the feasibility of tempeh production business in Pandawangi Village, Diwek District, Jombang Regency in terms of financial aspects. This research method is descriptive qualitative conducted from October to November 2023. The data source used is primary data conducted by interviews, observations, documentation, and tabulations from 6 informants who have tempeh production businesses in Pandawangi Village, Diwek District, Jombang Regency which have been operating for at least 2 years and have 1-4 people. The results of this study showed that the average calculation of the Benefit Cost Ratio (B/C) of 6 informants showed B/C > 0; the average calculation of Revenue Cost Ratio (R/C) of 6 informants shows R/C > 1; The average Return On Investment (ROI) calculation of 6 informants shows an ROI of > 0%. From the results of the business feasibility calculation, it can be concluded that tempeh production in Pandawangi Village, Diwek District, Jombang Regency is suitable for running
