Abstract
As many as 74% of Indonesian people use the internet. The main reason is to access the marketplace application for online shopping. There is a negative side to online transactions, namely the increase in cases of fraud. A new idea emerged regarding marketing strategy, namely the mystery box. Mystery boxes are boxes that we don't know the contents of that are sold randomly by sellers. After the consumer makes payment for the transaction to purchase the mystery box, for whatever reason the buyer may not return it. It can be said that the exchange rate does not correspond to the quality of the product, so it is contrary to Article 4 UUPK which explains that consumers have the right to get products according to the exchange value promised. Furthermore, there are other phenomena such as the use of standard clauses from sellers by making regulations that anyone who buys a mystery box cannot be returned even if the consumer is dissatisfied. In Article 1320 of the Civil Code, both parties must enter into an agreement for a halal reason. The type of research used is a normative approach. There are three research sources for legal materials in this research, namely primary legal materials, secondary legal materials and tertiary legal materials. Based on the results of the analysis of the discussion, the author can conclude that the agreement does not meet the subjective or objective requirements which are the legal requirements for an agreement.
