Abstract

Instant Messaging (IM) has become the most competitive sector today, leading developers to utilize and create mobile applications. In Indonesia itself, IM service applications are well known. Of the several IM applications that are present in Indonesia WhatsApp, Instagram (DM) and Telegram are examples of several IM service applications that are currently busy in Indonesia. The main factors that users consider in using IM applications are service features, cost, security, and social factors. These factors are important to improve and maintain the user experience in using the application. Usability aspects can also affect user experience during use. In general, a technology that has been implemented must be tested for usability and it must be known how much the level of use is for the user or user. A system or technology can be said to be successful if it can be accepted by its users or users. User attitudes play a role in determining the level of success of a technology. Therefore, this study tries to explore the level of user experience in the WhatsApp, Instagram DM and Telegram applications with a point of view among students. Using quantitative testing methods with the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) and UMUX-Lite models. This study aims to determine the extent of the user experience level of each application.
