Abstract

Baja JIS SUP 9 adalah salah satu baja karbon paduan sedang dari industri transportasi, biasanya diproduksi dalam baja kelas khusus, lebih dikenal dengan baja pegas daun. Pegas daun merupakan suatu komponen utama yang digunakan untuk meredam getaran atau guncangan karena itu dengan kondisi yang diterima tersebut, maka material pegas daun harus memiliki elastisitas dan diimbangi juga dengan ketangguhan yang tinggi. Perlakuan panas didefinisikan sebagai suatu operasi atau kombinasi operasi yang melibatkan pemanasan dan pendinginan logam/paduannya dalam keadaan padat untuk memperoleh kondisi dan sifat-sifat yang diinginkan. Annealing adalah proses PWHT yang mempunyai tujuan untuk memperbaiki keuletan dan menurunkan tegangan tarik dari suatu logam. Penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh temperatur proses Anneling suhu 750℃, 800℃, dan 800℃ dengan variasi waktu tahan 30 menit, 45 menit dan 60 menit terhadap uji kekuatan tarik dan struktur mikro baja JIS SUP 9. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui sifat mekanis terhadap pengujian Tarik. kemudian dilakukan uji struktur mikro pada permukaan material menggunakan mikroskop pembesaran 1500x. Dari hasil penelitian pengujian tarik didapat nilai tertinggi yaitu pada kondisi setelah di Annealing dengan variasi suhu 850ºC dan waktu tahan 30 menit sebesar 106,92 kg/mm2. Dan hasil penelitian pengujian struktur mikro didapat nilai tertinggi persentase fasa ferrite sebesar 62%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya pemberian variasi suhu dan waktu tahan semakin lama berpengaruh terhadap meningkatkan kekuatan tarik serta meningkatkan pertumbuhan fasa ferrite yang membuat baja JIS SUP 9 menjadi lebih kuat.
