Abstract

In the current economy, efficiency is very important so that there is no waste. the waste that occurs can have an impact on a number of companies in Indonesia such as PT. Sinar Mutiara Miru Lamongan, then to maintain its existence in the business world is to get maximum profit one of the things that can be applied is to use the Activity Based Management method that can be cost efficient to avoid waste. The research objectives to be achieved in accordance with the research questions that have been presented are to find out Activity Based Management in increasing the efficiency of production costs at PT. Sinar Mutiara Miru. The research method used in this study is quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The data source used is primary data. The data collection techniques in this research are through the Observation, Interview and Documentation methods. The limitations of this research are the limitations of research locations that are quite far away, and incomplete data. The results of this research show that by applying the Activity Based Management method on PT. Sinar Mutiara Miru was found to be non-value-added activities that were not too large after the activity management was carried out. Activities that do not add value are equipment repair. the process of moving trays. This non-value-added cost can be reduced so that cost savings occur and this creates efficiency without reducing the quality of service provided to customers or customers.
