Abstract

The problem faced by the CV X-Tra Glass and Aluminum company was that products were found that did not match the specifications set by the company. The focus is on creating mirrored interiors. Indications of problems resulting from product damage have an effect in terms of increasing costs and decreasing income for the company. The types of product damage are usually scratched glass, chipped glass and incorrect sizes. The process of solving this problem is by implementing the SQC method to reduce prominent causes of failure with the aim of reducing the level of risk of damage to the product. The characteristics of this research are concrete according to the use of primary data sources. The objects researched were CV X Tra Glass and Aluminum with samples for 1 month. The use of the SQC method is accompanied by analysis tools in the form of control charts (c-charts), Pareto diagrams, cause and effect diagrams (fishbone). Based on the results of data analysis implementing the Static Quality Control (SQC) method using the C-Chart control chart, it can be shown that the largest value of the Upper Control Limit (UCL) is 7.502, while the Lower Control Limit (LCL) - 2.235 is equal to 0. The results show that the number of defective products during the process of making CV X-Tra Glass and Aluminum mirrors is still within normal control and control limits. However, it is necessary to maintain and improve the Quality Control process, its function is to prevent an increase in the number of defective products. Judging from the data, the highest number of defective products in the Pareto diagram analysis is the result of scratch production. One of the dominant causes is when workers are less careful during the packaging and delivery process. So the mirror is damaged. Based on the results of the fishbone diagram analysis, defective products are caused by workers' lack of focus, work standards that are determined are not adhered to, maintenance of machines and tools is not paid enough attention, and there is uneven quality of raw materials.
