Abstract

Basically, highway construction is to overcome various problems that befall humans to make work easier. As the population increases every year and the number of vehicles increases, the need for land transportation infrastructure increases. So good planning is needed and meets the requirements and road construction can be of maximum benefit to road users, local residents and the wider community. In this way the use of the highway can run well. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the traffic volume values for the West Ketegan road section, as well as analyze the side resistance values for the West Ketagan road section, and analyze the capacity and performance values for the West Ketegan road section so that traffic jams do not occur. This research method uses primary data collection which includes road geometry and traffic volume and secondary data consisting of LHR and population. The analysis used is space capacity, side resistance, and degree of saturation. The overall survey results using PJKI 2023 guidelines for road performance levels and analysis of road service levels in West Ketegan are 0.97, including group E, meaning the flow is unstable, speed sometimes stops and demand is approaching road capacity. The figure for road performance so that there is no decrease in speed until the stop of vehicles using the West Ketegan highway is 0.20 -0.44 which is included in the group
