Abstract

Attention to accessibility in disability-friendly public transportation is considered important because there are still many people who have physical limitations and need adequate accessibility to be able to use public transportation. In addition, disability-friendly public transportation must be considered in planning, development, and maintenance so that it can reach all levels of society without exception. Knowing and identifying accessibility and infrastructure facilities at Lamongan Railway Station (LMG) and Babat Railway Station (BBT) for users with special needs or disabilities. As well as providing design recommendations for several station facilities in accordance with predetermined technical guidelines. Research data was obtained by field survey, literature review, agency survey, and documentation study. The analysis was carried out with a legislative approach combined with field observation surveys related to the problems found. The study results show that the available infrastructure facilities at Lamongan Railway Station (LMG) and Babat Railway Station (BBT) have not fully accommodated the needs of people with disabilities and have not provided accessibility for service users with special needs. Because of this, the author recommends a station facility design that is in accordance with the rules of the technical guidelines for the construction of railway stations. The maximum slope of outdoor ramps is 6 degrees for wheelchair users, special spaces or places for wheelchair users, wheelchair-accessible doors, disabled-friendly toilets, accessible parking lots, guide tiles, pedestrians. This research recommends the need for renovation and construction of facilities and infrastructure that are accessible to service users with special needs or disabilities in accordance with the recommended design.
