Abstract
In the construction project of the South Ring Road in Sampang District, it can be observed that there are delays in its implementation. To identify the causes of the delays, the Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) method can be employed. Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) is a method used to analyze the contributing factors to a failure, starting with assumptions about failures or losses from a top event. It then details the causes of such a top event until reaching the basic failures. The objective of this research is to identify the factors causing delays in project completion and pinpoint the most influential factors contributing to these delays. The results can serve as a reference for future projects to minimize project delays. Based on the Fault Tree diagram and minimal cut set results, there are 32 basic events that contribute to the delays. According to the research findings, the top 3 ranking factors causing delays are the delay in heavy equipment provision with a mean probability value of 0.79, the amount of additional work with a mean probability value of 0.78, and equipment shortages and poor material quality with a mean probability value of 0.77.
