Abstract
The e-sports industry in Indonesia continues to grow. The use of underage e-sports brand ambassadors has also increased along with the development of the e-sports industry in Indonesia, which makes them child laborers. Underage e-sports brand ambassadors should get special things that distinguish them from adult brand ambassadors in accordance with the provisions regarding child labor. The research method applied in this research is normative legal research using a statutory approach (statue approach) and conceptual approach (conceptual approach). This study aims to determine and understand the legal relationship between underage e-sports brand ambassadors and e-sports companies in agreements and legal protection of underage e-sports brand ambassadors as child laborers. The legal relationship formed between underage e-sports brand ambassadors as child workers and e�sports companies is based on the existence of a working relationship between the two parties which requires the fulfillment of three elements, namely work, wages, and orders. Work agreements between underage e-sports brand ambassadors and e-sports companies must include the role of parents or guardians. Legal protection of underage e-sports brand ambassadors as child workers can be done by protecting their normative rights as child workers. The government needs to update regulations related to the protection of child labor which are still less specific in the Manpower Law.
