Abstract
Projects are temporary initiatives with limited time, resources, and goals. Because the project lasts for a limited period of time, the project has a target time when it needs to be completed. In addition to limited time, a project also requires funds that in its expenses should not be done carelessly so as not to cause losses. For these two main reasons, project planning must be done as well and thoroughly as possible with project management being a key factor in its success. Consistency in the quality, cost, and timing of construction projects requires the selection of effective construction methods. The purpose of this study is to analyze the cost and time of construction of the UPN Veteran East Java Mechanical Engineering Workshop Building using the Time Cost Trade Off (TCTO) method by compressing the work network using additional working hours (overtime). The purpose of this method is to speed up the project implementation time and analyze the effect of time can be shortened by adding costs to activities that can be accelerated in the implementation period. The results of the study using the Time Cost Trade Off (TCTO) method obtained the duration of acceleration by adding working hours for 91 days from the initial duration of 105 days with a total cost of IDR 982,073,827.75 from the initial cost before the acceleration of IDR 616,925,912.11.
