Abstract
Nyamplungan road and Pegirian road are divided two-way 4-lane types (4/2 D). There are shops and souvenir centers for Sunan Ampel Religious Tourism that do not have parking lots, pedestrians crossing the road, vehicle activities in and out of public roads and the number of street vendors who still roam around the Nyamplungan road section causing a decrease in traffic flow speed and road capacity as a result at certain hours and days there is often congestion. The goal is to determine the level of side resistance and the value of the degree of saturation using the theoretical basis of the Manual Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia (MKJI 1997). Side friction of Nyamplungan road were found to be the busiest day is on Thursday at 05.00-06.00 PM with a total of 791.9 and for Pegirian road the busiest day on Thursday at 06.00-07.00 PM with a total of 641.8. Meanwhile, the traffic volume that occurred on Jalan Nyamplungan and Jalan Pegirian occurred at 3109.4 Smp/hour, while the results obtained for the Pegirian direction amounted to 3033.25 Smp/hour. The value of the degree of saturation that occurs on the Nyamplungan road and Pegirian road is 0.89 for Nyamplungan road, while for Pegirian road it can be produced by 0.87. The level of service on the Nyamplungan road and Pegirian road is categorized the same, namely the saturation degree value on both roads is 0.8-1.0 or (E) information of unstable current, stable speed, solid volume or close to capacity.
