Abstract
This research aims to reveal whether there are commitment to the javanese culture and moral integrity in business owing by "tempe" crispy chips entrepreneurs in Prandon village in Ngawi Regency, in East Java. The conclusion is that the entrepreneurs will keep the commitment to conserve the javanese culture, both within the society and in business up to now. Entrepreneurs with a wider perspective and having higher education are able to harmonize javanese culture and modernity in their business. Empirically their business progress is more prominent compared to those who have relatively lower education
