Abstract
Drainage is the science that studies methods for removing extra water from a particular utilization environment. Drainage has an important purpose in development, namely to reduce and dispose of excess water from an area or area so that the land can function optimally according to its use. Therefore, one of the sections of the southern ring road requires a drainage channel plan. The aim of this research is to analyze the runoff discharge that occurs in the southern ring road (JIS) area of Sampang Regency which will burden the road drainage channels and another aim of this research is to obtain a cross-sectional drainage channel plan that is capable of carrying the maximum water flow discharge. In the drainage channel planning calculations, the results showed that the G Ka drainage channel is the channel which has the smallest discharge, namely the discharge is 0.0249 m^3/second, while the drainage channel with the largest discharge is the B Ka drainage channel, namely the discharge is 0.0574 m3/seconds and for the cross-sectional channel, the results show that the cross-sectional channel dimensions used from several alternatives that have been shown are the cross- sectional channel dimensions with sizes (b) = 0.30 m and (H) 0.20 m.
