Abstract

In this modern industrial era, efficiency and effectiveness in project management have become the primary determinants of success. However, challenges such as delays often arise due to the complexity and dynamics of the project. This research aims to analyze the factors causing delays in the Dieng Area Arrangement project using the Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Event Tree Analysis (ETA) methods. The research results show that internal, external, and management factors are the main causes of delays with an overall probability of 0.515. The impact of these delays includes project completion delays between 1 to 7 days, resulting in fines or penalties ranging from Rp 80,799,893.46 to Rp 565,599,254.22. Therefore, the use of FTA and ETA in project management can help achieve efficiency and effectiveness, as well as minimize the risk of delays. This research is expected to provide better insights and understanding about the importance of efficient and effective project management in facing the challenge of delays in projects.
