Abstract

Production planning is an important process in management operations that involves planning, organizing and supervising all aspects related to production. The main goal of production planning is to ensure that the company can produce goods efficiently, effectively and in accordance with market demand. CV. Yasiira is a company that provides facilities and infrastructure for educational institutions such as blackboards, data boards and wall boards. to increase productivity. CV. Yasiira needs to plan production and plan raw material requirements effectively and efficiently by estimating product demand for the next period. The forecasting results are used for production planning using the aggregate transportation planning method and the Trial and Error method. From these two methods, the results obtained from the trial and error method (permanent workers) produce a cost of Rp. 149,640,000 and the trial and error method (subcontracted workers) results in a cost of Rp. 132,850,000 while the plan 1 transportation method costs Rp. 127,620,000 and plan 2 transportation method costs Rp. 148,500,000. From these costs, it can be seen that the method that has the smallest costs is the plan 2 transportation method. Based on the smallest costs, the plan 2 transportation method is used to determine the master production schedule by disaggregating aggregate planning. To determine raw material requirements from the master production schedule and minimize inventory costs, calculations are carried out using the Raw Material Requirements method which is determined using the Material Requirement Planning (MRP) method. It can be seen that using the MRP lot size method which produces the smallest total inventory cost is LFL of Rp. 26,400,000. compared to the FPR of Rp. 77,916,000 and FOQ of Rp. 35,192,000.
