Abstract

PT Garudafood is a company who produce food and beverage. This company often get quite high downtime. Where downtime is causing low OEE value. It happened because a machine often got broken when production process is running. This problem happened in packing area of line 1 horizontal machine. This research, researcher want to apply preventive care by calculating reliability value of line 1 horizontal machine with hope can help decrease downtime value in line 1 horizontal. Analysis carried out by determine critical component in accordance with distribution suitability test on line 1 horizontal machine, calculating reliability value and MTTF. Next, determine repair time intervals and scheduling, cost that needed to do preventive maintenance and comparing with corrective maintenance cost. After did calculation can be known the cost that company should incurred to do preventive maintenance amount Rp. 436.200.000 where that cost showing saving cost amount Rp. 567.400.000 from corrective maintenance cost before amount Rp. 1.003.600.000.
