Abstract

Providing the best conditions for existing electric power equipment including forms of service to consumers, one of which is transformer maintenance. Distribution transformer is an electric power equipment that functions to transmit power or electric power from high voltage to low voltage. Equipment such as transformers have a specified lifetime limit according to the IEEE C57.91 2011 standard, which is 20.55 years. The age of the transformer itself can be influenced by several factors, one of which is the loading and ambient temperature around the transformer. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of loading and ambient temperature on the transformer. Based on this analysis, it was found that the service life of the transformer, with the method used is the quantitative method and descriptive statistical analysis techniques. This study took data on 4 distribution transformer units at Galaxy Mall 3 Surabaya. Overloading and high ambient temperatures can cause the life of the transformer to increase. In the loading data of 4 units of the Galaxy Mall 3 transformer in 2021, the age loss of the MZ1/1 transformer is 4.37%, the age loss of the MZ1/2 transformer is 3.38%, the age loss of the MZ2/1 transformer is 3.32%, and the age loss of the MZ2/2 transformer is 2.18%. Based on IEEE std C57.91-2011 with 2021 loading data, it can estimate the age of the distribution transformer MZ1/1, which is 19.89 years, MZ1/2, which is 20.38 years, MZ2/1, which is 19.98 years, MZ2/2, which is 20.3 years.
