Abstract

Mountain climbing is a tourist activity, as well as a sport that is very popular with domestic and foreign tourists. Mountain climbing activities are not only tourism activities, but also sports, because even though climbing activities are intended to enjoy nature, this activity also requires sufficient physical and skill. Climbing requires good mentality, careful planning, sufficient equipment, and good physical condition. Climbing can also be an extreme activity, in this climbing activity, many victims have fallen, experiencing temporary disabilities, total disabilities, and even death. Also not infrequently the victim's traces and bodies are not found. In this research, the authors want to participate in creating equipment or devices that are adequate, but also low�cost, named Mountain Climbing Data Monitoring And Data Logger Device (Altitude, Temperature, Air Pressure, Heart Rate) Based On Internet Of Things. This device will be in the form of a wearable device that users can use practically, and make it easier to monitor these points. This study conducted a feasibility test by conducting an accuracy test on the device, the accuracy test was carried out using the Barometric Software on an Android device to measure the accuracy of altitude, temperature and air pressure, to test the accuracy of the heart rate, The Author using the heart rate measuring software on Android device and using the Digital Pulse and Oximeter device. From the research results, it can be interpreted that the Monitoring Device can already show altitude, temperature and pressure in the surrounding environment. At low altitude measurements, the accuracy of temperature is 88.8%, air pressure is 86.12%, and altitude is 99.8%. In the second experiment, carried out at a slightly higher altitude, the resulting temperature accuracy was 93.4%, air pressure accuracy was 99%, and altitude accuracy was 96%. Inaccuracies in measurements can be due to differences in sea level at the time of measurement. In the testing, the accuracy of the heart rate sensor, two tests were carried out, the results of testing with different software or device comparisons. The first test result is an accuracy rate of 95% and the second test result is 99.5%. It can be meant that the design of this device is feasible to use and further development can be carried out in the future.
