Abstract

Homosexuality is a person's tendency to engage in sexual behavior with the same sex. The problem of homosexuality is one of the problems that has become an urgency among the Indonesian people because it has entered the realm of prison and boarding school and has a great influence on the psychosexual development of adolescents. Because Indonesia still upholds eastern normative social values, homosexuality is considered a deviant sex revolution. Biological, environmental, and family factors are considered as causes of homosexuality. Child-parent relationship is a relationship that includes several aspects that maintain the physical development, then the emotional and social development of the child. The child-parent relationship lays the foundation for the child's personality, life choices and perspective of the child's behavior as a whole later. This can also affect the strength of their social, physical, mental, sexual and emotional health later when they are teenagers or adults. Parents' self-confidence is an important indicator of parental competence to create an ideal child-parent relationship. A good relationship between parents and children is closely related to the formation of the child's behavior later, including sexual orientation in adulthood. This study aims to assess the relationship between child-parent relationship with the tendency of homosexual behavior in teenage boys in Surabaya. The independent variable in this study is the child-parent relationship, while the dependent variable in this study is the tendency of homosexual behavior. The sample of this study were all male adolescents aged 17-23 who were in the "area of Surabaya. Sampling was carried out by incidentil sampling technique by determining certain considerations or criteria that must be met by the samples used in this study. Retrieval of data using a questionnaire.
