Abstract

Public Street Lighting (LPJU) is a very important facility needed by society. Most of the LPJU conditions are not suitable specified standardization. Therefore, in this study analyzing (LPJU) Does it match the field conditions to get appropriate lighting intensity results? standards that have been determined by BSN SNI 7391:2008. White Elephant Road and Street Tambak Cemandi Sidoarjo is a type of Secondary Local road with length The road is approximately 2 km and the road width is 4-5 meters for Jalan Gajah Putih, meanwhile The road length is approximately 3.5 km and the road width is 4-5 meters for Jalan Tambak Cemandi, where the environmental conditions on this road are busy every day. Lighting on these two roads, are they in accordance with the standards of BSN SNI 7391:2008, and compare the performance (PJU) on these two roads, then in this research need to analyze by measuring the intensity on the White Elephant road and roads Cemandi Pond. The results of the research are the average lux from the measurement results intensity of public street lighting. On Jalan Gajah Putih and Jalan Tambak Cemandi obtained average intensity results that met BSN SNI standards 7391:2008. Measurements of SON-T lights on Jalan Gajah Putih got results 18.25 lux, for LED lights 25.98 lux, when measuring lights on Tambak road Cemandi for SON-T lamps got results of 13.86 lux, while LED lamps 24.64 lux. These results have met the BSN SNI 7391:2008 standards, and comparison of public street lighting performance, performance on Gajah Putih and roads Tambak Cemandi road. So if you look at the lux results obtained in both cases These roads have better quality road lighting, more comfortable roads White elephant.
