Abstract

PT. Susanti Megah sebagai produsen garam beryodium memiliki tantangan besar dimana maintenance terhadap alat produksinya tidak mudah karena berhadapan dengan korosi yang disebabkan oleh material garam, salah satunya pada mesin packing di unit 2 yang seringkali harus berhenti akibat kerusakan sehingga diperlukan perbaikan yang mengharuskan terhentinya proses produksi, hal ini disebabkan oleh faktor kurang optimalnya perawatan, untuk mengetahui akar permasalahan perlu dilakukan perhitungan mengenai tingkat efektifitas. Langkah yang dilakukan untuk menerapkannya yaitu melakukan pengukuran overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) serta mengetahui faktor terbesar yang mempengaruhi dengan perhitungan six big losses, setelah itu mencari penyebab-penyebab permasalahan yang terjadi dengan menggunakan fishbone diagram. Standar produktivitas world class yang dirumuskan oleh Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance (JIPM), yaitu sebesar 85%. Hasil pengukuran OEE saat ini menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata tingkat efektivitas (OEE) mesin packing pada periode Juli hingga November 2022 adalah sebesar 68.01%, masih jauh dibawah standar JIPM yaitu sebesar 85%. Sedangkan nilai availability sebesar 85.85% nilai performance sebesar 80.83% dan nilai quality of product sebesar 98.02%. Faktor terbesar time losses yang menghambat pencapaian OEE tersebut dari seluruh faktor six big losses adalah reduce speed losses yaitu sebesar 16.47% (23.776 menit), kemudian diikuti faktor setup and adjustment losses sebesar 9.97% (14.366 menit), idling and minor stoppages losses sebesar 9.35% (13.435 menit), equipment failure losses sebesar 4.18% (6.010 menit), process defect losses sebesar 1.37% (1.974 menit), dan scrap losses sebesar 0.20% (297 menit). Penerapan strategi perawatan berdasarkan total productive maintenance dapat meningkatkan nilai overall equipment effectiveness menjadi 77.78%.
