Abstract
One of the regions in Blitar Regency that has great potential for natural resources is Papungan Village, which is part of the Kanigoro District. It has a total agricultural land area of 140 hectares (Papungan Hamlet 46 ha, Gajah Hamlet 56 ha, Sekardangan Hamlet 38 ha), as well as fertile plantation and yard areas spanning 58 hectares. Along with the increasing potential of agriculture and plantation, concerns arise among farmers regarding fertilizer issues. The high demand for fertilizer, the lengthy process of organic nutrient fermentation, and the possibility of fermentation failure due to temperature influences, microorganism development, the inability of decomposer bacteria during the composting process, and even unclean fermentation containers or places all contribute to these concerns. An anaerobic bioreactor device was developed based on the customers' desires using the Quality Function Deployment method. The design includes features such as a heater, mixer, automatic temperature control, and a safety valve to reduce pressure. Through the design of this device, testing revealed that the anaerobic bioreactor device was able to accelerate the fermentation process from 14-21 days to 5 days. It also minimized failures during the fermentation process and increased the production of organic nutrients in Papungan Village. In the trial of corn plants, the nutrient-enriched maize showed rapid plant growth, larger stems, larger and longer leaves, and fresh green foliage.
