Abstract

PAL Indonesia is a construction company in the maritime industry which focuses on producing very top and bottom surface vessels relied on by the Indonesian government, therefore there is a safety system there very strict, including lighting safety. Lighting is one of the important factors in supporting visual comfort. Because of the lighting Good ones can support comfortable activities. Minimal lighting in indoors can interfere with indoor activities, apart from that too causes eye fatigue which leads to decreased productivity and work efficiency. A room functions well if it has good lighting. With good lighting, objects are clearly visible, allowing the operation of the tool Production and work in the hangar are optimal. However, on company PT. PAL Indonesia has a problem, namely in the production workshop Warship workers often complained about the lighting in the workshops The light is not bright enough which results in workers often experiencing red eyes, watery and sore. Therefore, researchers are interested in analyzing whether standards existing lighting is in accordance with SNI 03-6197-2000. From the measurement results has been carried out, it is known that the average value of lighting intensity in the workshop battleship of 82.22lux. Therefore, the analysis was carried out again calculations and re-planning to find out the light points needed as needed. The calculation results show that at the ship repair shop PT war. PAL Indonesia requires 42 light points with average lighting of 354 lux. With the addition of light points there is an increase in billing rates electricity which initially amounted to IDR 624,575.34 per month became IDR 2,186,013.69 every month.
