Abstract

This study aims to analyze law enforcement against criminal acts of maltreatment in soccer matches in Indonesia. Football in the world is a very popular entertainment and entertainment that is of great interest to many people from all over the world, especially in Indonesia, football is a sport that is highly admired and liked by the people of Indonesia, but there is a bad side to the sport of football, namely cases of abuse between players or against match officials. This research will examine the laws and regulations and examine the PSSI regulations governing the criminal act of persecution and regulate the pattern of soccer athletes on the field, as well as analyzing the appropriate legal settlement of the case. The research method used is a normative legal study using document analysisand interviews with related parties. The results of the study show that the application of criminal law is the last option against perpetrators of abuse in football matches because criminal law has the principle of ultimum remedium, thenit is better that cases of abuse in football matches are handled by a football organization in Indonesia called PSSI because sports law has the principle of Lex Sportiva which is independent of cases that are on the football field and is supported by statutory regulations Number 3 Article 88 number 1 of 2005 concerning the National Sports System.
