Abstract
One of the problems that arise in big cities in Indonesia is environmental pollution due to waste. Surabaya City is one of the second largest cities in Indonesia after DKI Jakarta which also contributes to the increase in environmental pollution due to waste. The average community is able to produce approximately 3,014 kg or the equivalent of 3 tons of plastic waste every month according to data from the Surabaya Main Waste Bank. The PET waste recycling process flow is included in the reverse logistics concept. A well-integrated waste recycling process will certainly provide optimal benefits for the parties involved in it. Both from the economic, environmental, and so forth. Developing a model for allocating the PET waste recycling process in the reverse logistics structure in the city of Surabaya is the goal of this research. This research was conducted at the main waste bank, unit waste bank, collectors, DLH and the remanufacturing industry. The model development was carried out using the Capacited Maximum Covering Problem (CMCP) method with the Linear Programming (LP) mathematical algorithm. The final results in this study provide an allocation of PET waste with a total entity profit of Rp. 98,222,907 and are expected to be able to provide a development model for optimally allocating PET waste within the city of Surabaya.
