Abstract
Manajemen persedian merupakan salah satu faktor yang terpenting dalam menjalankan bisni industri, khususnya bagian produksi dan pergudangan. Persediaan harus diperhitungkan sedetail mungkin sampai berada pada titik optimal sehingga dapat menghindari adanya kendala yang terjadi yang dapat merugikan perusahaan. Hal tersebut yang nantinya akan disebut dengan manajemen persediaan dimana perusahaan harus menghitung persediaan sesuai kebutuhan baik persediaan bahan baku, persediaan bahan setengah jadi, maupun persediaan produk jadi. Manajemen persediaan yang dilakukan tanpa strategi tertentu akan membuat biaya persediaan melonjak tinggi. Biaya-biaya persediaan tersebut antara lain biaya carrying cost, ordering cost, purchase cost, dan lain-lain. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengantisipasi persediaan yang di stok secara berlebihan sehingga dapat mengakibatkan biaya persediaan naik berkali-kali lipat. Hasil yang diperoleh penelitian ini yaitu berhasil melakukan pengoptimalan persediaan produk jadi menggunakan Linear Programming dengan hasil sebagai berikut: Produk pakan udang jenis Ruby (X1) sebanyak 1.764 unit produk dengan menambah safety stock sebanyak 90 unit karung, produk pakan udang jenis Ruby SP (X2) sebanyak 1.618 unit produk dengan menambah safety stock sebanyak 90 unit, produk pakan udang jenis Ruby SA (X3) sebanyak 1.311 unit produk dengan menambah safety stock sebanyak 90 unit karung. sehingga hasil akhir dari penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu dapat meminimasi biaya persediaan dari sebesar Rp5.270.325 per bulan menjadi Rp2.235.188,- maka penelitian yang dilakukan dapat mengurangi biaya persediaan sebesar Rp3.9939.197,-.
