Abstract
Mr. Rosyidi has a micro home industry that produces tempe products in Randudongkal Village, Pemalang Regency and was established in 2002. The problem that often occurs is that there are still many tempe products that experience defects which can affect consumer confidence. Therefore it is required to carry out quality control on tempe products. Quality control is an activity that must be carried out by a company to reduce a defective product or product that does not comply with company standards. In this study, the authors found the types of defects in tempe products, such as blackish color, sour taste, and bad smell. And in this study the authors used the Statistical Quality Control (SQC) method to analyze quality control for temped products and also used tools such as; Check Sheet, Control Map (P-Chart), Pareto Diagram and Fishbone Diagram. The purpose of this study was to determine whether defective products in March 2023 were still in a stable condition or not, and to find out the causes of defects in tempe products. And the results of this study show that 7,500 tempe products in March 2023 have found 717 defective products, and for controlling the quality of madih in a stable or reasonable condition. The causes of defects in tempe products are factors of raw materials, humans, machines, methods and the environment.
