Abstract
This study aims to analyze the feasibility comparison of the business of making cassava chips and banana chips in Ngabar Village, Jetis District, Mojokerto Regency. Cassava chips and banana chips are processed snacks that are very popular with the public. In this research, an analysis was carried out on several factors that influence business feasibility which includes initial capital, revenue, profits and other relevant factors. In this study the method used is qualitative method with data collection techniques through questionnaires, observation, structured interviews with business owners making cassava chips and banana chips. The results of this study indicate that both types of businesses have their own strengths and weaknesses. The business of making cassava chips has the advantage of being cheaper in terms of production costs, while the drawback lies in the amount of revenue and profit generated which is very small when compared to the business of making banana chips. Meanwhile, the advantage of the business of making banana chips is that it has a greater number of revenues and profits than the business of making cassava chips. As for the drawback, the business of making banana chips is more expensive than the business of making cassava chips. In addition, the banana chip business also has advantages in terms of average profit, higher R/C ratio and ROI feasibility compared to cassava chip making business. Based on the research analysis conducted, it can be concluded that the business comparison between cassava chips and banana chips is at an average level of profit. The business feasibility of the R/C ratio and ROI shows that the business of making banana chips is more profitable than the business of making cassava chips in Ngabar Village, Jetis District, Mojokerto Regency.
