Abstract
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). Enterprise Resource planning (ERP) is a sophisticated database system. This ERP system is needed to help business processes in the industry become integrated between divisions and record information to become more real-time and accurate. In a manufacturing company there is a production process, the production process is a process in which raw materials are converted into finished products or have added value. Before carrying out the production process, it is necessary to determine the planning of raw materials using the Material Requirement Planning (MRP) method. Material Requirement Planning (MRP) is a method required for production planning or procurement of components to meet the master production schedule (JIP). DA Interior is a manufacturing industry in the furniture sector. This company was founded in 2016 and is located in several locations, namely Surabaya as an office and Sidoarjo as a production site. This industry is capable of producing all furniture in homes, offices and buildings according to customer requests. In the industrial production process, the Make To Order system is implemented where the production process is carried out based on customer requests. In the production process, especially in the procurement of raw materials, there are problems, namely the process of calculating the amount of raw materials, only estimates of the amount of previous production are carried out and there is no calculation with the method and there is no ability within the company to control inventory so that the determination of materials that will be needed is irregular. Therefore, researchers will determine the planning of raw materials needed for a certain period with the Material Requirement Planning (MRP) method in order to be more efficient in terms of time in purchasing raw materials, can optimize the production process and minimize raw material inventory costs and be able to meet demand. according to the promised time. Then, the business processes that have been described by this company still use simple methods that cause confusion and are not neatly organized in the reports produced such as sales reports, reports on purchasing raw materials, reports on inventory usage and reports on incoming and outgoing raw materials and experiencing problems in manipulation in Procurement of raw materials for profit. So, integration with the company's ERP system is a method of solving problems so that it can help companies improve business process performance The implementation of ERP applications in business processes is expected to improve business performance such as reducing excessively high lead times, improving customer service performance, eliminating required stages and others.
