Abstract

Petir merupakan gejala alam yang cukup berbahaya,hasil dari sambaran petir dapat merusak bagunan yang terkena samabaran petir.tetapi terdapat solusi yang bisa digunakan dalam mengantisipasi sambaran petir,yaitu dengan pemasangan proteksti petir.proteksi petir terdiri dari terminasi udara yang berfungsi untuk menerima sambaran petir pad radius tertentu,kabel penyalur yang berfungsi menyalurkan arus dan tegangan yang diterima terminasi udara menuju grounding atau pembumian dan pembumian atau grounding yang fungsinya menertalkan arus dan tegangan dari kabel penghantar menuju bumi. Penelitian ini membahas perencanaan sistem penyalur petir eksternal pada gedung SMK Sultan Agung 1 Tebuireng Jombang.yang memiliki 3 gedung yang belum terproteksi dari sambaran petir.dari hasil survey dan pengukuran gedung SMK Sultan Agung 1 Tebuireng Jombang dianjurkan memasang sistem proteksi petir.dari hasil pengukuran nilai resistansi tnah SMK Sultan Agung 1 Tebuireng Jombang adalah 12,45Ω pada kedalaman 150cm.dimana nilai ini tidak memenuhi standart. Dari hasil perhitungan model sudut proteksi satu gedung SMK Sultan Agung 1 Tebuireng Jombang membutuhkan 5 terminasi udara.sedangkan untuk 2 gedung lainnya membutuhkan 3 terminasi udara.untuk sistem pembumian menurut standar SMK Sultan Agung 1 Tebuireng Jombang setiap gedung membutuhkan 2 buah elektroda atau rod yang dipasang pada kedalam 3 meter dengan jarak antar rod adalah 15 meter,sehingga didapatkan nilai resistansi tanah sebaesar 3,1Ω.dimana dengan nilai 3,1Ω sudah memenuhi standar PUIL 2000
