Abstract

This research is an observation at UD. Gajah Delta. This research takes the title "Relayout Design Using the FTC Method and Discrete Simulation to Minimize Material Handling Costs in the Production of UD.Gajah Delta". This study aims to provide a layout design for production facilities by analyzing the production process which refers to the Operation Process Chart of UD. Gajah Delta products, so that an efficient and effective work sequence is obtained. This research method uses qualitative research with FTC calculations that aim to calculate material handling costs and map the closest work process sequence and simulate the production flow process using discrete simulation development in order to maximize relayout implementation.
