Abstract
The road is an infrastructure for vehicular traffic passing both below the surface and above ground level. One of the factors that cause road conditions is easily damaged and potholes, and can pose a risk of accidents caused by vehicles with more load capacity or commonly known as Over Dimension and Over Load (ODOL). The use of local materials or other alternative materials is equally important in an effort to overcome material limitations and minimize construction costs. With the availability of many limestones in Indonesia, it encourages researchers to conduct research on limestone as an alternative filler material in asphalt concrete mixtures. In the study reviewed from the Testing Analysis of the limestone Filler sieve, a value of 84.06% was obtained with the condition that it passed sieve No.200 more than 75%. Furthermore, judging from the Specific Gravity Testing, a value of 2.611 was obtained provided that it had a minimum specific gravity value of 2.5. Furthermore, Marshall's test was reviewed from the flow values at asphalt levels of 4.6%, 5.1%, 5.6%, 6.1%, and 6.6% with values of 3,53 mm, 3,60 mm, 3.70 mm, 3,83 mm, and 3,90 mm with conditions of 2-4 mm. Judging from the stability value at asphalt levels of 4.6%, 5.1%, 5.6%, 6.1%, and 6.6% with values of 1025,32 kg, 1115,72 kg, 1184,5 kg, 1083,95 kg and 1022,06 kg with a minimum requirement of 800kg. From this test has met the requirements of the General Specification of Highways 2018 (Revision 2), then the results of this limestone research show that the use of limestone in Sekapuk Gresik as a substitute for filler in the AC-BC mixture meets the specifications that have been set so that it can be used as an alternative filler substitute for highway pavement materials.
