Abstract
Parking is one of the components in the needs of the transportation system. The need for parking space must be known before planning a development such as for example a traditional market. The market is a sector of the economy that is a place for interaction between buyers and sellers of goods or services, one of which is the Pabean Sedati market. The parking space at the Pabean Sedati market itself cannot accommodate vehicles during peak hours due to a lack of parking space. The purpose of this research is to analyze the characteristics, capacity and needs of parking at Pabean Sedati market. The results of research on the Pabean Sedati Market parking area obtained results, namely research that was conducted from Monday, 1 May 2023 to Sunday, 7 May 2023 found that the maximum accumulation occurred on Saturday, 6 May 2023 at peak hours, namely 07.00-08.00 WIB of 35 vehicles. The volume of vehicles on the peak day, Saturday, 6 May 2023, reached 327 vehicles. The parking index percentage from Monday, May 1 to Sunday, May 7, 2023 exceeds 100%, which indicates that the parking capacity is insufficient to accommodate incoming vehicles. Then for the parking capacity it was found that the parking capacity of the Pabean Sedati market was 20 SRP while the required capacity was seen based on a maximum accumulation of 35 vehicles and for the need for parking at the Pabean Sedati market it was found that the need for parking space at the Pabean Sedati market was 35 SRP while currently only available 20 SRP which means parking space at Pabean Sedati market requires 15 SRP to be able to accommodate vehicles during peak hours.
