Abstract

In the distribution of electricity to consumers there are electric power equipment namely the distribution transformer which functions as a lowering voltage medium to low voltage. In the process of distribution often occurs load imbalance between the phases. This is because the use of electricity is not simultaneously within a certain time. Unbalanced load on each phase causes a current in the neutral. Neutral current flowing can resulting in power losses (losses), and these losses affect the transformer efficiency. In analyzing the problem using calculations mathematically by using the load unbalance equation, power losses and transformer efficiency. Having analyzed the results show that the average percentage of load unbalance on the AD185 transformer is 11.4%, with the highest percentage of imbalance at 10:00 am 12.6%. In the AD180 transformer, the average percentage of load unbalance by 8.5%, with the highest percentage of imbalance at 18:00 by 11.3%. In the AD185 transformer, the average power losses are 1.487 kW, with the highest power losses at 19:00 at 1.674 kW. On transformer AD180 average power losses of 1.683 kW, with losses the highest power at 18:00 was 2,119 kW. On the AD185 transformer the average percentage of transformer efficiency is 98.38%, with the percentage the lowest efficiency at 19:00 at 98.27%. In the AD180 transformer, the average percentage of transformer efficiency is 98.39%, with an efficiency percentage lowest at 18:00 at 98.07%.
