Abstract

The company has a strategy as an effort to minimize a cost in each production. Companies can seek minimization with several suggestions including negotiating a procurement process. One of the efforts that can be made in these conditions is to continue to improve quality and maintain spending so that it does not exceed the set budget. Based on field observations, grinding roll is one of the superior products at PT. PLN (Persero) PUSHARLIS UP2W VI Surabaya which implements a make to order system, but these products are always produced every semester so the author initiated the procurement of welding wire which will be carried out once a month in the hope of minimizing shipping costs. PT. PLN (Persero) PUSHARLIS UP2W VI Surabaya has hopes that this research will serve as a form of annual supplier assessment. In addition, the results expected by the authors are to obtain alternative suppliers with the best quality and the smallest expenditure on the procurement production of grinding roll.
