Abstract

CV Metalindo Perkasa is one of the manufacturing industries that produces furniture products in the form of stacking chairs. The demand for stacking chair products tends to fluctuate and product ordering using a pre-order system causes this company to be less than optimal in scheduling product raw material inventories. Thus, we need a method that can assist in scheduling inventory. The right method is Material Requirement Planning (MRP) with the LFL and EOQ lot sizing approach. Forecasting uses the Moving Average (MA), Weight Moving Average (WMA), and Exponential Smoothing (ES) to determine the Master Production Schedule (JIP) for the next 6 months. After JIP calculations, the demand results for the next 6 months are 10.724 CH-100 KR Stacking Chairs, 10.998 CH-200 KR Stacking Chairs, and 9.687 CH-200 PC Stacking Chairs. From the calculation of the results of MRP with LFL and EOQ lot sizing, the smallest cost was Rp 7,475,617,611. Keywords: Stacking Chairs, Demand, MRP, Lot Sizing, Inventory, Cost.
