Abstract

This research is entitled Community Participation in the Development of Menur Pumpungan Village, Sukolilo District, Surabaya City, East Java Province.The purpose of this research is to find out about community participation in the implementation of development, to find out the factors that encourage and inhibit community participation and the efforts made by the government to increase community participation in the implementation of development. This research method uses a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach, which aims to describe phenomena related to the scope of this research. Retrieval of data and information is done using interviews and documentation techniques. Based on the research conducted, it was found that: 1) The level of community participation in the implementation of development is good. 2) The factors that encourage community participation include age, gender, education,employment and income, and length of stay.
