Abstract

Indonesia generally uses asphalt concrete (AC) road pavement in road construction, which requires a large amount of aggregate which will cause enviromental problems due to the continuous exploitation of aggregate material. Reutilization of concrete waste that has been crushed to become coarse aggregate instead of crushed stone can be one solution. In this study, concrete waste with f’c 25 Mpa quality meets the requirements as a substitute material for coarse aggregate in terms of the results of the examination of aggregate properties in the form of: Analysis of concrete waste filters with an average of 4,53. Spesific gravity and absorption of concrete waste with apparent specific obtained a value of 2,738 and absorption of 2,807%. The abrasion of concrete waste obtained a value of 37,7% and the aggregate adhesion to asphalt seen visually with a result of 96% has met the requirements of the Spesifikasi Umum Bina Marga 2018 (Revisi 2). If using 50% concrete waste as a substitute for 10-20 coarse aggregate, marshall test result can be reviewed for stability values at asphalt content of 4,6%, 5,1%, 5,6%, 6,1% dan 6,6% with respective values of 956,3 kg, 1082,7 kg, 1146,4 kg, 1056,4 kg, and 985,6 kg. The flow value results in asphalt content of 4,6%, 5,1%, 5,6%, 6,1%, dan 6,6% with respective values of 3,03 mm, 3,20 mm, 3,50 mm, 3,63 mm, and 3,77 mm. So it can be concluded that concrete waste as a substitute fo 10-20 coarse aggregate can be used for the manufacture of road pavement in AC-BC mixture.
