Abstract
Strength of character are special habits that lead people to manifest strength of character by establishing good relationships with other people. This research was conducted by distributing a scale entitled The Relationship Between Family Harmony and Character Strength in Adolescents. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was a correlation between family harmony and character strength in adolescents. Respondents in this study numbered 100 with the criteria of teenagers in class VII and VIII of SMPN 2 Kesamben in the city of Jombang and live with their parents. The sampling technique used in this research is non-random sampling. The method used in this study uses a quantitative method with a primary scale, which consists of 2 (two) variables, namely Character Strength (Y), Family Harmony (X). Analysis of the results of these calculations can be concluded that the product moment correlation between the variables X and Y correlates 0.291 and a significant value of 0.003 (p> 0.05) is obtained. This means that it has a degree of relationship, namely a weak correlation and a positive relationship. The subjects in this study had high family harmony, while the strength of the characters possessed by the subjects was low. Keywords: Character strength, Family harmony
