Abstract
Reports in the mass media regarding the declaration made by the Nasdem party in nominating Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate to fight in the 2024 general election are increasingly being carried out. Press companies see this from various sides to frame a report that is presented on their respective channels. In this research. Researchers use William A. Gamson's analysis as a way to analyze news coverage in the media by looking at the way the media tells a story in a package (Package) and seeing the prominence in a news that is presented. Framing in the analysis is presented in the form of Framing Devices in the form of Methapors, cathcphrases, Exemplars, Depictions, and Visual Images as well as Reasoning Devices in the form of Roots, Appeals to principle, and Consequences. In this study the analysis was carried out on 3 major media in Indonesia, namely Mediaindonesia.com, Viva.co.id, and Kompas.com. with the conclusion of the research results on the outline of the construction carried out by the media in general by highlighting certain packages or packages according to the analysis of the knife used. The research results show that the construction of news by mediaindonesia.com features Surya Paloh as the main actor in declaring Anies. Viva.co.id constructed the news by highlighting, among other things, the timing of the declaration which was not right because it was close to the Kanjuruhan tragedy, Jokowi and Surya Paloh's relationship which was predicted to be a little tenuous because Anies was a person who was opposite Jokowi, and the decision in Anies' election was the result of Surya Paloh. Meanwhile, Kompas.com constructs the news by highlighting the ups and downs of Jokowi's relationship with Surya Paloh and Surya Paloh as the person who declared Anies.
